How it works

Three seconds of hold. Then it is done. You can add apps and add time while it runs. You cannot quit early.
The rest of your phone works like normal. Your alarm, your maps and your messages are untouched.

It sits there for four seconds, every time. Close it and open it again and you wait another four. If you typed something when you started, this is where you have to read it back.
Privacy
Nobody sees any of this.
No sign-up. No account. No email. What you lock, and anything you type, stays on your phone. The app cannot send it anywhere, not to me and not to anyone else.
It does need a few permissions from your phone to do its job, like noticing which app you just opened and showing the block screen. It lists every one before you start, and the privacy page explains them in plain words.
The honest print
You can beat it if you really want to. There is a special way to restart an Android phone that switches off apps like this one, and wiping the phone beats everything. Any app that says otherwise is lying to you.
It was never meant to be impossible. It was meant to stop being one thoughtless tap. When getting back in takes a minute and a half of deliberate effort, most of the time you just will not bother. That is the whole trick, and that is where your evenings come back.
